Our Grapes

Albariño Varietal

Albariño is a vibrant white wine grape varietal native to Spain and Portugal, which thrives in regions close to the sea - making Fallbrook with ocean proximity, our misty mornings and intense sunny days a perfect growing area. It is characterized by a light-bodied freshness, fruity and aromatic with a bracing hint of salinity or minerality. Wines produced using Albariño exhibit notes of citrus, such as lime or grapefruit, as well as stone fruits such as peach and nectarine. It is the natural partner of seafood, ceviche, sushi or any food containing a bit of spiciness.

Vineyards

Located in the San Luis Rey AVA, the Fallbrook elevation, proximity to the ocean, and weather create a terroir perfect for this wine grape varietal. With almost 500 vines across four vineyard segments, Nolan James Vineyards aims to produce and sell over a ton of grapes each year. And, looking forward to selling our own branded wines in the near future.
